Photo: internetHanoi (VNA) – Many localities are looking to boost the domestic tourism while strictly respecting the preventive measures against the Covid-19 pandemic.
On June 9, the city of Dà Nang authorized the reopening of certain services, including catering. According to Cao Tri Dung, president of the Dà Nang Tourism Association, the sector mainly targets local tourists and those from neighboring provinces.
The tourism services of Quang Ninh and Hai Phong have also decided to receive new visitors. Quang Ninh plans to welcome between 1.5 and 2 million tourists per month during the summer of 2021. Restaurants, cafes, sports halls are allowed to reopen, provided that preventive measures are respected. Golf courses, tourist sites, religious establishments, and other cultural and tourist services will also be able to accommodate local visitors. Trân Van Hông, the deputy head of the Ha Long Tourist Boat Association, is obviously satisfied.
“The boat owners are very happy to be able to welcome new visitors. We have prepared the plans to guarantee the preventive measures, ”he tells us.
The tourism service of Quang Ninh province has asked travel agencies to develop attractive tours, but especially for local visitors, as Pham Ngoc Thuy, the director of said service, told us.
“We must first of all guarantee the health safety of tourist sites. That is why we are primarily targeting visitors from our province. With regard to neighboring localities, we are targeting those where the epidemic is under control, such as Hai Phong, ”he explains.
