Launch of a competition dedicated to students to promote internal tourism

The kickoff was given by the Department of Tourism in partnership with the department in charge of Higher Education and the Moroccan Society of Tourism Engineering (Smit).

This student competition is a call for the transformation of the domestic tourist offer so that it is compatible with the expectations of Moroccan tourists, but also with the new health constraints and this, by detecting and rewarding the most innovative ideas, explains a communicated.

“It is about provoking real emulation in the domestic tourism pool by constituting a bank of ideas made up of innovative and viable concepts, tourism products, services or solutions, promoting the revitalization and transition to a more innovative domestic tourism product. , competitive and sustainable. “

Targeting young students from all universities and higher education establishments in Morocco, this competition is structured around two major categories:

-Tourist products and / or services allowing to boost the demand of the Moroccan tourist and falling under one of the following sectors: seaside tourism, cultural tourism, nature tourism.

-Innovative technological solutions making it possible to increase the creativity and competitiveness of tourism players marketing products for domestic tourism.

Interested parties will have until June 3 2021 to submit their applications on the site www.smit.gov.ma.

The awards ceremony will be held on August 19, 2021.
