Where can kids learn about COVID-19 and education issues?

Some Pinkham Elementary School students returned to classrooms Monday, December 7, 2020. Visalia Unified School District leaders have said they are adhering to federal health protocols.

Kaweah Delta is partnering with the Visalia Unified School District to answer children’s questions about COVID-19 and related education issues.

The Kids Town Hall focused on COVID-19 will take place on Thursday at 3:30 p.m. Children can learn why they are working remotely, why they must wear masks and more.

The event’s guest speakers will include VUSD Superintendent Tamara Ravalin and Keri Noeske, Kaweah Delta’s chief nursing officer.

Students from throughout Tulare County can submit their questions to [email protected]

The event will be live-streamed on Kaweah Delta’s social media channels, as well as through an online webinar and is free. The event is intended for kids, but parents are encouraged to listen in so they can be prepared to discuss these questions/answers with their children.
