Can you guess Joe Biden’s favorite dessert?
Joe Biden’s favorite dessert could be one of your favorite desserts, too. While the 46th President might be commander in chief, he has some simple food preferences. When it comes to a favorite dessert, he is just like many Americans. It seems that Joe Biden is screaming for his ice cream.
Favorite presidential food can be a funny subject. Many people might remember Ronald Reagan’s love of a Jelly Belly jelly bean. While not a favorite food, Barack Obama had that infamous beer submit in the Rose Garden.
Sometimes food and the presidency sparks people’s interests. In some ways, that little bit of insight into a favorite food makes a president seem slightly more real, offers a stronger connection and makes people feel that he is one of the guys.
As stated in Eat This, Not That post, Joe Biden’s favorite dessert is ice cream. While he might not drink, he professed his love of ice cream.
While Biden hasn’t specifically endorses a particular ice cream, he has shared his love of Jeni’s Salted Peanut Butter with Chocolate Flecks. Truthfully, that ice cream brand is quite impressive. If you haven’t had the pleasure of Jeni’s Ice Cream, it is worth going in search of a pint.
Even though Jeni’s might be more sophisticated scoop, Biden has been seen with a classic ice cream treat that has been loved by many, a Dairy Queen Blizzard. While it wasn’t clear which Blizzard was part of his Happy Tastes Good celebration, it did have that signature red spoon.
Since Biden seems to love his ice cream, it will be interesting to see if any ice cream company makes a special 46th President ice cream flavor. It seems like a special opportunity for some ice cream companies to jump on the concept. Just think back to Jelly Belly and Ronald Reagan.
For now, why not grab a Vinetta Ice Cream cake, a scoop of some classic Breyers or even an indulgent Talenti container and ponder what the next four years might hold. Since ice cream makes many people happy, maybe positive vibes could be coming.
