Scherri-Lee Biggs opens up about her secret health condition – and how it recently caused the skin under her eye to ‘split open’ while filming a show

Scherri-Lee Biggs was one of the breakout stars of The Celebrity Apprentice’s most recent season.

But the model and TV presenter was secretly struggling with a health condition while filming the show.

In a column for Nine Honey, the 30-year-old revealed that she has psoriasis, dermatitis and is allergic to makeup.

‘There were mornings I’d wake up and my skin was so inflamed it looked like I had been punched in the eye, knowing that when I get into work, a thick layer of makeup would have to be applied to my red raw skin,’ she revealed.

‘Stress doesn’t help either. Enter: reality TV show involving a boardroom and billionaire boss. At one point filming Celebrity Apprentice, the skin under my eye had completely split open,’ she added.

To combat her allergy, the model recommends wearing silicone-based makeup instead.

Scherri-Lee shot to fame when she won Miss Universe Australia in 2011 – the year after Jesinta Franklin took the crown.

She went on to represent her country in the Miss Universe 2011 pageant, placing in the top 10.

The South African-born beauty, who immigrated to Australia as a child, has since carved out an impressive career in television.

She got her first break as a sports and travel presenter for Seven News in Melbourne.

She then relocated to her home city of Perth to become the new weather presenter for Nine News, replacing Sally Ayhan.

For a period of time, she made headlines as a footy WAG while dating Brad Sheppard from the West Coast Eagles.

The pair dated for about 18 months and split after a seemingly romantic European holiday during the AFL break in October 2019.

Most recently, she appeared on the new season of The Celebrity Apprentice Australia.
