If Michel Baur were ever to be a guest at a show like “Who Wants to be a Millionaire?”, He would have a good chance of winning the main prize – at least you get this impression when you visit the 54-year-old in his new shop.
He has actually been running the Baur Store gift shop in Steinenvorstadt for 24 years. Because this will have to give way to a new building in the next two years, Baur opened an additional shop in March. Here, at Klosterberg 8, everything revolves around luxury cars, stylish vintage cars, racing cars or fighter jets – in miniature format. “With over 500 copies, it is the largest and only specialist shop for car and airplane models in Basel,” says the 54-year-old.
