Hamden Government Center at 2750 Dixwell Ave
Clare Dignan / Hearst Connecticut MediaHAMDEN — The town’s information technology services were “compromised” early Thursday, prompting a recovery effort, according to the administration of Mayor Lauren Garrett.
Sean Grace, Garrett’s chief of staff, said in a statement that the town’s emergency services were unaffected, but less essential functions were impacted.
“Our team quickly shut the system down to protect against further compromise. We have contracted with a recovery consultant and are working with law enforcement investigators to safely get our system up and running,” Grace said. “Our emergency services are uninterrupted. Non emergency services will be available as soon as possible.”
Officials will offer updates as the recovery process continues, Grace said.
